Two years ago Facebook post has appeared today!

A Facebook post I posted two years ago came up today, saying I got my SYMBIS (Saving your marriage before it starts) facilitator certification.
It was a certification I had studied and obtained for future activities after my husband passed away.
You wonder the person you had chosen was really the right person? And you think “Will I be able to stay married to this person for a long, long time?”
You take a psychological test to measure your match with each other, and discussed the test results to determine how you can make your marriage better with this tool.
We don’t learn anywhere how to fall in love, how to create a good marriage, or anything like that. So, I think it is natural that we somehow understand how marriage works through our observation toward our parents or our surroundings.
Charles Baudelaire, a poet active in 19th century Paris, famously said, “Marriage is the graveyard of life.” In the midst of the epidemic of syphilis and various other infectious diseases at that time, the true meaning of this quote was, “If you want to live long, avoid extramarital sex with an unspecified number of people. If you want to live, you should marry only the person you truly love in the church where the tomb is located.”
I think marriage is a very beautiful form of human relationship. Isn’t it wonderful to have a companion on the journey of life? I think it is a beautiful process when two people who have been lovers become soul mates by sharing their lives together.
Today, a reminder of a past Facebook post renewed my decision to do the best in my job again. I want to encourage married couples to have a good life journey together!
